Cashclick Boog Voice Of The Struggle Starring Kavi Picasso Set To Drop October 31, 2020
In the small city by the Bay Richmond, California there has been many talented rappers who have tried to breakthrough the upper echelons of the hip-hop industry. However, segregation and street violence has always prevented them from truly making an impact like in other cities i.e OAK, LA, ATL. Finally two of the Bay Area’s top artists from Richmond are trying to change the narrative. CashClick Boog (South Richmond) and Kavi Picasso of (North Richmond) joined forces on Cashclick Boog’s “Voice Of The Struggle” album set to be released October 31, 2020. The album features Kavi Picasso on many of the track bringing a fresh melodic sound to CashClick Boog’s gritty and grimy lyricisms and swift wordplay. With master production from various producers the project is a certified banger! However the collaboration is not without controversy some individuals from both sides of the tracks aren’t too sure how to perceive it. The fact that CashClick Boog is from South Richmond and his original artwork had a image of the infamous 5th and Market store on the cover upset a few people in the North. On the other hand individuals from Central Richmond and South Richmond felt equally uneasy about “Souf” working with “Narf” as well. Some has displayed their displeasure throughout social media others has done so in private.
In conclusion the city of Richmond has had its share of pain and bloodshed on both sides and for some these past aggressions can never be forgotten let alone forgiven, and their will always be that underlying hatred for the opposition for some. Although music is not designed to replace the harsh reality of the streets but it can be a escape from it…some shit you just gotta know.
