Jeezy Therapy For My Soul Addresses 50 Cent, Rick Ross Coach K, Big Meech & Freddie Gibbs
Therapy For My Soul is the latest Track by Jeezy the Snowman, and it couldn’t have dropped at a better time. The track airs out a lot of issues the rapper has been wanting to clear up in his own right, like the situation with Coach K “What happened with me and Coach same shit that happened with Tommy and Ghost checks coming but the trust ain’t there I would say its all him but that wouldn’t be fair.” He elucidates Shakir (Hollywood Shake) Stewart, a label executive at Def Jam from East Oakland, California, who committed suicide back in 2008, “Shake took his own life. I didn’t understand that.” In another bar, he raps “real talk he the reason me and Ross talked” addressing Rick Ross and taking aim at 50 Cent “since we were talking the boss talk, let’s address the sucka shit grown man playing on Instagram real sucka shit why the fuck this clown night playing with my legacy solid in the streets that’s some shit you’ll never be talking about power, but weak niggas do the most in real life nigga you really borrowing money from Ghost all that Lil boy shit make it evident made millions in these streets what the fuck is 50 cents.” Jeezy expressed his loyalty and support to BMF Big Meech, saying it’s still free. Meech loves him if he right or wrong, but the streets wanna know if you really get along if you were asking me that’s 1000%.” He goes on to explain why he has kept his distance from the BMF boss and his crew. He felt that one of the members was attempting to set him up and involve him in their case. We all brother, your mother loves us speaking about brothers welcome home T ( SouthWest T BMF boss and Big Meech brother ) a nigga might owe you money but that nigga ain’t me.”
The song gives the feeling that it was written and recorded a while ago, giving the fact that he clarifies some ancient issues. However, the Freddie Gibbs bar is the most relevant given the fact that Jeezy the Snowman has been taking a lot of backlash after announcing that he and arch-rival So Icy Gucci Mane would be doing the versus battle. Almost immediately, a former CTE artist pounced, posting, “Nigga smoked yo motherfucking homeboy, and now you about to sit in a room with him and do a versus with...don’t talk no street shit me nigga now you gotta deal with this shit bitch.” Also, adding a couple of funny memes to go along with the Instagram story. Freddie Gibbs has a long-standing beef with the rapper dating back to 2012 when Gibbs announced via the Breakfast Club that he was no longer a CTE member citing that he didn’t like or agree with the way Jeezy handles business. He also began speaking publicly, claiming that all the street shit rap about is a fraud, and Jeezy was visibly shaking over Rick Ross and Gucci beefs even claimed he started receiving death threats from angry fans.
For the most part, Jeezy stated relatively quiet on the situation; however, in a series of interviews with Hot .97 Ebro and Sirius Xm Sway, he began to open up more about Freddie Gibbs's ordeal. Most notable was he claimed that Gibbs potentially burned a bridge with Eminem by leaking a record and that he had wasted over $3000,000 on videos, flights, studios, and more for the rapper. The beef between the rappers has largely been sided mainly Freddie Gibbs attacking and Jeezy ignoring him until now eight years later “If one 5 weren’t my nigga I would have touched him when that shit when down with Gibbs I couldn’t trust him invested my hard-earned money tied up my bread, and he goes try and tell you that I’m flawed that’s in his head it happened just the way I said good on ya own if I’m honest there is nothing gangster about you leave this alone.”
